Banana Beer Making Workshop

Banana beer, or “urwagwa” in Kinyarwanda, is a traditional beer made from fermentation of mashed bananas. Guests learn the step-by-step art of making traditional banana beer, from mashing bananas to grinding and toasting sorghum, to the fermentation process, which ends with a tasting!

The Government of Rwanda has removed all requirements for guests to present negative RT-PCR COVID-19 and Rapid Antigen COVID-19 tests when visiting the country’s National Parks, with immediate effect.
